Location
Central location,
ease of access
Close to the city centre, Margaret Island and the City Park, we are developing the apartments of Westside Garden in the area bordered by Szabolcs Street and Lőportár Lane in the renewed Ferdinánd Quarter. Our premium homes are recommended for those who have dynamic lifestyles and who appreciate the diversity of the neighbourhood.
The area offers great infrastructure, with a number of shops, kindergartens and schools located nearby. The “office corridor” of Váci Way and the Nyugati Railway Terminal can both be reached within 10 minutes. As a result of the developments in the street, an intelligent urban environment is being established in the heart of Budapest with apartments, offices and green spaces.
The Nyugati Railway station and its surroundings are reborn!
One of the largest and busiest rail transport hubs in Central Europe, in Hungary and Budapest, is being created.
Grimshaw Architects, the winner of an international two-round architectural design competition, will design the plans for this major urban development project. The firm's stations have been designed by architects from around the world and its portfolio has won numerous awards. The development will not only transform the Nyugati station, but will also bring a new lease of life to the whole district.
The winning plan - while taking care to preserve the iconic stylistic features of the Eiffel Hall - envisioned a modern 21st century station behind the building. From a transport development point of view, a key feature of the design is its three-level, partially underground structure, which will create one of the busiest rail transport hubs in Central Europe in Budapest.
In the regenerated area, residents will enjoy a wealth of new green spaces and downtown features. 23.5 hectares of the current brownfield railway zone will be freed up. The park solutions for the project will be provided by the French design firm AREP Group, the runner-up in the tender.
New park and community sports field to be built
The AREP Group's design plan includes a new park along Podmaniczky Street, a green corridor connecting the City Park and the Great Boulevard. A community sports field, a jogging track, street furniture, a multi-age playground, a dog park and toilets with changing facilities will be available for recreation. Both the shops, cafés and restaurants in the Eiffel Hall building and the facilities in the park will create a new, high-quality community space for Budapest.
For Biggeorge Property, the Nyugati Railway Station renewal project is a priority, as in addition to the recently completed Westside Residence residential complex at the corner of Bulcsú Street and Szabolcs Street, another project, Westside Garden, is under construction in the area. In our work, we always keep in mind that not only high-quality building design, but also a great choice of location is an important pillar in creating a liveable, friendly and lovable environment.
